About Dr. Teresa Z. Sclafani, MD
Interventional Radiologist
Dr. Sclafani always knew she wanted to be a physician. While completing her surgical residency at St. Vincent’s Hospital in NYC, she was introduced to Interventional Radiology.
She loved that this specialty allowed her to help people avoid many complications of general surgery.
Dr. Sclafani completed her diagnostic radiology residency at SUNY Downstate Medical Center/Kings County Hospital in Brooklyn and became the Chief Vascular and Interventional Radiology Fellow at NYU Langone Medical Center in NYC.
After finishing her fellowship, Dr. Sclafani continued to practice interventional radiology for over a decade in numerous states. She has worked in many different settings, from private practices to large hospitals.
Dr. Sclafani finds it rewarding to help people decrease their pain and improve their wellness while reducing reliance on narcotics and riskier surgeries. She believes in treating each patient with the care she would give a family member. Dr. Sclafani especially enjoys spending extra time with each patient to help them understand and feel comfortable with their procedure.
